Misty Dawn Goforth, 44, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at Autumn Oaks in Mountain Grove, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 16, 1973 in Springfield, Missouri, to Bob and Shirley (Medlock) Short.
Misty grew up in Mountain Grove and later moved to Cabool after she married her true love, Donnie Goforth, on April 12, 1995.
Misty is preceded in death by her dad and her grandparents, Grover and Maureen Hopkins, Ruth Short, and Cleo Long.
She worked at Cox lab as a phlebotomist and also worked in home health care until her health no longer allowed. She then became a stay-at-home momma.

Misty truly loved her family. Spending time with her kids and grandkids put a sparkle in her eye. She and her family had many adventures together. Misty enjoyed camping trips with Dusty and Kari and granddaughters Novey and Rylie. She would get so excited when she got the news that Dakota was coming home. She looked forward every night for Heather to get home so they could discuss her day and watch their nightly shows before dinner. Before her health declined she looked forward to opening morning of deer season with Donnie. Her favorite hobby was having her nails look beautiful and keeping everyone on their toes.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-three years, Donnie Goforth of the home in Cabool; her children, Dusty Goforth and Kari of Houston, Missouri, Dakota Goforth and Taylor of Mountain Grove, and Heather Goforth of Cabool; grandchildren, Tyler, Novey, Rylie and Lyncoln, who will arrive in December; her mother, Shirley Short of Mountain Grove; a brother, Scott Short of Mountain Grove; and numerous other family members.
