Ardell Franklin Cook, 78, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born on January 29, 1940 at Patton, Missouri, to Lyman and Eula Cook.
Ardell was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bobby Cook, who passed away December 31, 2017; a brother, Ronnie; and a sister, Wilma.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie; two daughters, Debra Taylor and Kristin Cook of Cabool; a grandson, Stetson Taylor of Springfield; sisters, Bonnie of Kennett, Missouri, and Geraldean and husband Randy of Jackson, Missouri; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Ardell worked for Arkansas Electric for many years and retired to work around home. He enjoyed visiting with friends but loved spending time with his family.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the funeral chapel with Nathan Pabarcus officiating. Pallbearers were Randy Cooper, Ray Cooper, Randal Cooper, Stetson Taylor, Charlie Glenn and Russel Cooper. Interment was in Steely Chapel Cemetery at Elk Creek, Missouri, under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
