Warren J Bauman passed away March 2, 2019 at home on his parents’ farm south of Cabool, Missouri, at the age of 60, with just a few days under hospice care.
“J” was the first child born to Richard W. “Dick” Bauman and Barbara J. (Sims) Bauman on April 9, 1958.
He is survived by brothers Joseph W. (wife Kathy) and Jeffrey B. (wife Jeannie); adopted sisters Jeri R. (husband Brad Gault) and Kelly L. (husband Tim Canfield); five nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Bauman, and a nephew, Stanley C. Bauman.
J graduated early from high school in Eugene, Oregon, and continued college courses in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a gifted artist in pencil drawings, water and oil paints, and sculpturing. He was a successful legal secretary at one of the largest law firms in Kansas City before suffering a head injury that altered the rest of his life.
J enjoyed gardening, raising tomatoes and peppers for making sauces, growing and harvesting a variety of herbs for his own cooking recipes. He also kept a variety of houseplants which are now being cared for in several homes in the area.
J also enjoyed travels from Oregon/California to New York City, back to the West Coast and a visit to Hawaii before moving to Missouri with the family.
He was a baptized member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The family extends sincere gratitude for the prayers of family and friends and the excellent care from Hospice Compassus staff and caregivers. J was surrounded with loving care to prepare for his “graduation” to his eternal home of rest.
