Mary Elen Romines, 91, of Houston, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, surrounded by family.
She was born February 26, 1928 to Elmer and Minnie Bell (Carter) Snyder in Huggins, Missouri.
Mary was a member of Houston First Free Will Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Wallace Romines on June 18, 1955 and was blessed with four children, Iris Bell, Cathy, Roger, and Randy. Mary loved babysitting her grandchildren and an estimated eighty-plus other children.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Sybert of Cabool, Missouri, Roger Romines and wife Gloria, and Randy Romines and wife Billie of Houston, Roy Hoggatt and wife Jennifer, and Shirley Townley and husband Larry; eight grandchildren, Billiemarie Bussard and husband Darren, Chris Romines and wife Teesha, Jamie Turner and husband Jake, Amy Elledge and husband Chad, Mary Jo Scheets and husband Aaron, Angie Warner and husband Tuffy, Tracey Falwell and husband Levi, and Jennifer Depler and husband D.J.; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Snyder of Humansville, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews and other friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Romines; a daughter, Iris Bell; a great-granddaughter; three brothers, Roy, Albert, and Lloyd; and two sisters, Velma, and Edna.
Memorials may be made to Three Rivers Hospice.
Services were held Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Houston First Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Delcour officiating. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Roger Romines, Randy Romines, Roy Hoggatt, Tristan Cooper, Zack Romines, and Aaron Scheets.
