Sigman second in International Single Shot Rifle Association competition

Verl Sigman of Cabool brought home second place overall from the 2019 International Single Shot Rifle Association National Matches held July 30 through August 2 at NRA Whittington Center in Ratone, New Mexico.

Sigman competed in 50-shot matches over four days, compiling an aggregate score of 4,353 from a possible 5,000. He took third in the offhand event, second in bench rest, third in bench rest scope, and fourth in iron offhand.

In addition, the rifles used by Sigman and the first and third place finishers in the competition had all been built by Sigman.

Since 1986, Sigman has missed only one of association’s national matches, or schuetzenfests.
