Barbara Jean (Smith) Collins, 75, of Cabool, Missouri, departed this life on September 27, 2019 at 10:53 p.m. at her home.
She was born on August 24, 1944 in Caldwell, Idaho, the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Davis) Smith.
Barbara was united in marriage to Amil Collins on January 31, 1967 and to this union two children were born, Tom and Dustin. They lived in Alaska, Oklahoma, Mississippi, California and Nebraska, traveling wherever the U.S. Air Force sent them. Barbara loved the Lord and was saved and baptized on January 20, 1974 at Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Amil; four sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by two sons, Tom and wife Shelly of Tuscola, Texas, and Dustin and wife Linda of Rogersville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Melissa, Allison, Samantha, Kayla and Aaron; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Graceyn; four sisters, Eileen, Carolyn, Frieda and Gail; as well as many other relatives and friends, including Becky Shelley and Liz Hale. She loved her dogs, Bingo and Lillie. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the funeral chapel with Donnie Wells officiating. Pallbearers were Randy Hale, Christian Ortega, Dillon Friend, Skyler Friend, Travis Conley and Jesse Hale. Honorary pallbearers were Wink Hale and Rick Smith.
