A spokesperson for Cabool Development Foundation said a number of entries were received in the contest CDF sponsored for a city sign design concept.
CDF members will be reviewing all entries and are expected to announce winners in November.
The contest was held to get ideas that can be used to construct a permanent welcome sign to the city. CDF was seeking entries for a permanent structure, sitting on the ground, not a billboard. The sign will be constructed of concrete and/or stone or brick with metal wording.
The winning concept will give CDF the basis for the sign’s design.
A cash prize of $250.00 will go to the person submitting the winning concept from among entries by high school students and adults. In addition, a $50.00 gift card will be awarded to the best design submitted by a child from kindergarten through eighth grade.
