Robert Joseph “Bob” Eisenhouer, 83 – Passed March 4, 2020

  Robert Joseph “Bob” Eisenhouer, 83, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away at The Living Center in Marshall, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He and his wife moved to Marshall last year to be closer to family.

Bob, son of Howard Eisenhouer and Kathryn Culbertson Eisenhouer, was born January 16, 1937 in Milo, Missouri. He graduated from Uniontown High School in Kansas and attended one year at Fort Scott College in Kansas. Bob had moved to Milo, then Kansas and back to Solo, Missouri. He then served in the U.S Army under the Army Security Agency from December 1959 to March 1962. He traveled to many places while in the Army — Massachusetts, California, and Okinawa, Japan, then back to Oakland before coming to Cabool.

On May 15, 1964 he married Virginia Lee Rust in her parents’ home in Cabool. Bob and Jenny had one son, Robbie Eisenhouer 54, of Cabool. They lived in Cabool while Bob worked at the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a commercial vehicle inspector from 1965 to 2002 when he retired after 37 years of service. Bob was an exemplary employee for the state as he displayed excellence in judgment, professionalism and dedication to his job. He received the Troop G Commanders Award by being an outstanding civilian employee in 1992.

Bob was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his son, Robbie Eisenhouer of Cabool; five grandchildren, Sasha Sullivan of Marshall, Sharyl Lewis of Nevada, Missouri, Brennan Sapp of Norwood, Missouri, Keasha Sapp of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Josh Eisenhouer of Licking Missouri; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Sullivan, Hayden McClellan, Isaac Lewis, Ryleigh Lewis and Atlas Waters.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Eisenhouer; father and mother, Howard and Kathryn Eisenhouer; and one sister, Barbara Dare.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Wayne Cannon officiating. Visitation was held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial was in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
