Robert Hart, 84, of Cabool, Missouri, peacefully passed away on October 29, 2020 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born on January 31, 1936 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of John Fadanan and Mattye Orene (Kelley) Hart.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Hart; son, Lawrence Hart; daughter, Candace Hart; granddaughter, Melissa Baker; along with other beloved friends and family members.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Hart; daughter, Denise and son-in-law, Carl Holloway; grandsons, Steven Stein and Christopher (Brandi) Stein; nine great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jakob, Ethan, Katrina, Ashiley, Dustin, Jeffery, Kayleigh and Sheyanne; and two great-great-grandchildren, Mackenize Baker and Jensen Owens.
Robert met Faye in high school where they fell in love and got married on January 26, 1955 at the Episcopal church in West Los Angeles, California. Robert joined the Army where he served six years before retiring to the reserves. Robert went on to finish his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and started a long career in business and finance, opening Viking Business Services.
Throughout the years Robert has been very active in the local communities, church, and family. Robert and Faye were happily married for over 64 years and she was the love of his life. He loved to paint, dance, cook, eat and enjoy life as if there was no tomorrow. He will be immensely missed by all those who knew, loved and cherished him.
Graveside services with full military honors were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Interment was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
