The local Salvation Army bell ringing campaign is underway and volunteers are needed to give two hours of their time to man the collection station at Town & Country in Cabool.
Each year donations to the Salvation Army assist persons who live in Texas County. A vital part of fundraising for the Salvation Army is the annual bell ringing campaign held around the holiday season. What does Salvation Army do for Texas County? In the past year Salvation Army has provided boots for an individual in need, cribs and toddler beds for children who had no place to sleep, car seats for a new family, bus tickets for a way home, gas vouchers for a child’s doctor appointment, and replaced medication for an individual who lost their home to a house fire.
