Mary Mable Gibson Riddle of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, passed away on December 24, 2020.
Mary Riddle was born to Dan Wesley and Jewel (Cox) Gibson on March 17, 1939 in Hoxie, Arkansas.
On March 17, 1957 she was united in marriage to Louis Ralph Riddle.
Moving to Huntsville, Alabama, in 1957, Mary became a schoolteacher, receiving a bachelor’s degree in education from Athens State University and a master’s degree from the University of Alabama. She retired from the Madison County Board of Education in 2008.
Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years on April 13, 2009; her sister, Geraldine Gibson Kosovich; and her parents, Dan Wesley and Jewel (Cox) Gibson.
She is survived by her brother, Danny F. Gibson; three children, Cliffdan Ralph (C.R.) Riddle, Carl Jeoffery Riddle (Joanie), and Regina Clonts (Jeff); four grandchildren, Kimberly Riddle Morris (Brandon), Derek Riddle (Samantha), Mary-Catherine Clonts, and Morgan Clonts; and three great-grandchildren, Jordon, Brody and Slayden Morris.
Due to COVID restrictions, the family held a private graveside service on January 2, 2021.
