Rhonda Faye Ice was born October 15, 1960, in Cabool, Missouri, and went home to be with Jesus on March 5, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri. She was 60 years, four months, and 21 days of age.
Rhonda grew up in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1979. She was a stay-at-home mom and in her spare time she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and she also enjoyed collecting many things, especially lighthouses. Rhonda’s greatest passion in life was spending time with her family and friends. She also loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was saved and baptized at a young age and attended Calvary Temple Church.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Steve Murr; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Jewell Murr; and maternal grandparents, Francis and Elva Smith.
Survivors include her mother, Rachel (Smith) Nesbit of Mountain Grove; one daughter, Krystal Richardson and husband Zach of Mountain Grove; two grandchildren, Kaden and Asher Richardson of Mountain Grove; one brother, Danny Murr and wife Teresa of Hartville, Missouri; her stepmother, Janice Murr-Duke; one stepbrother, Lee Melton of Mountain Grove; one stepsister, Brandi Butts of Wyoming; nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. Funeral services followed the visitation at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Brother Justin DeVries officiating. Song selections were “I Can Only Imagine,” “Beulah Land,” Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “How Great Thou Art.” Zach Richardson, Kaden Richardson, Lee Melton, Bobby Gene Fullington, Clynton Belt and Johnny Collins served as pallbearers. Asher Richardson, Danny Murr, Don Newberry, Basil Smith, Mark Hammond and Michael Murr served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
