Board amends city pool rules, hires summer staff

Three operation changes were made and staff hired for the upcoming season at Cabool Pool during Monday evening’s meeting of Cabool Board of Aldermen.

The city’s pool is scheduled to open Memorial Day. Last year the pool did not open due to the pandemic.

Daily admission prices were increased by 50 cents. Pass prices were unchanged. With the increase, daily admission prices will be: age 5 and under, free; ages 6-11, $2.00; ages 12-59, $3.00; and ages 60 and over, $1.00.

The minimum age for a child to be left at the pool without a parent or guardian was changed from 8 years old to 12 years old. Those age 11 and under must be under the supervision of a person at least 16 years of age.

New this year is a requirement that all persons attending the pool must provide a contact phone number.

Pool managers will be Donna Sullivan and Julia Reaves, at $11.00 and $10.50 an hour respectively, with the following staff members approved, pending certification, at $10.30 per hour: Josie Sullivan, Chariti Coffman, Jackson Williams, Shannon Barbe, Dusty Miller, Shelman Coen, Katlynn Ellison, Kira Graves, Matty Cannon, Abigail Heuerman, Elleah Carroll, Caleb Graven, Alexander Swisloski, Alexis Hunter, Logan Primanzon, Brady Byerley, Greg Stone, Madelyne Aaron, Morganne Aaron, Makalah Watson and Baylea O’Dell.
