Donald George Ellis, 76, of Fordland, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2021 at North Park Village in Ozark, Missouri.
Don, a father, uncle, grandpa and friend, was born on April 25, 1945 in Cabool, Missouri, the son of Delmar George and Levena Grace (Archer) Ellis.
He graduated with the Cabool High School Class of 1963 and then moved to Springfield to attend Drury University. After college he went on to have a successful career in public utilities management in Jefferson City and St. Joseph.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Lindell.
He is survived by his three children, Aaron, Brian and Courtney; six grandchildren, AJ, Grant, Zach, Tyler, Edi and Lexi; sisters, Venita McCart, Janice McCain and Debbie Murr; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Cabool Cemetery with Joe Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Aaron Ellis, Brian Ellis, Courtney Ellis, AJ Ellis, Zach Ellis, Grant Ellis, Tyler Ellis and Ryan Murr. Interment was in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. A reception followed at Fordland Methodist Church.
